About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Forklift Technician to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of industrial equipment, including forklifts, scissor lifts, and skid steers. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely and efficiently, supporting our customers' operational goals. What You'll Do
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on forklifts, scissor lifts, skid steers, and industrial equipment using OEM schematics and technical manuals
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems to identify issues accurately
- Conduct repairs on transmissions, brakes, suspensions, air brakes, IC engines, and electric forklifts to ensure optimal performance
- Test repaired equipment to verify proper operation and safety compliance before returning it to service
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and maintenance logs for all equipment serviced
- Assist in the assembly and disassembly of complex machinery or components for repair or upgrades
What You Bring
- Proven experience working as a mechanic or technician specializing in dealership or industrial equipment repair
- Strong mechanical knowledge of industrial machinery including forklifts, scissor lifts, skid steers, and warehouse machinery
- Familiarity with OEM parts catalogs and schematics for troubleshooting and repairs
- Hands-on experience with diagnostics, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical systems
- Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts and power tools safely and effectively
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including tire service and brake repair
- Skilled in using hand tools or power tools for repairs
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various environmental conditions
